Allow me to introduce myself.....
I qualified to an International standard in 1989 with a leading school of beauty and gained valuable experience from a private salon, within a well known London hospital.
This was followed by successfully attaining a position in Europe’s most exclusive and prestigious beauty salon Harrods in London’s Knightsbridge.
To further my career, I spent the next five years travelling on the world’s largest cruise liners, progressing from beauty therapist, to manager, trainer and finally supervising new vessels being launched. With the exception of one gap year in which I joined the Phillip Wain Health & Beauty Spa Management Team, in launching there Super Club in Causeway Bay, Hong Kong.
On my return to England I pursued the training path and joined the teaching teams at Chichester College of Technology, Southampton City College and Basingstoke College of Technology. After five years and once in the position of Co-ordinator I opened The Beauty Suite which has continued to be a thriving local beauty salon in the heart of the Surrey countryside. There after I have occasionally rejoined the teaching teams when necessary to support and uphold the high standards of the Beauty Therapy Industry. In 2008 the start of The Beauty Suite's sister company Salon Essentials began supplying disposable products to the industry whilst in 2009 The Academy Of Beauty Therapy began. Now obtaining VTCT accreditation the growth of The Academy has been extensive with new courses being launched frequently.
In the summer of 2009 I was asked by VTCT Examination Board to act as a Judge for the World Skills Challenge held in the South of England.
Using twenty years of experience in the beauty and alternative therapy's industry it is my hope that between myself and my team that we can impart some of our vast knowledge and experience on to you.

ITEC, BTEC, BTEC HND, VAI, VTCT, IIHHT,IIST, CIBTAC,C & G,NVQ's Levels 1,2 and 3, Keyskills.
Meet The Team
Linda - Lecturer / Assessor / Internal Verifier
Has been in the industry over twenty years and worked in Dubai and many of the worlds most exclusive cruise liners. Following her return she excelled at a new and exciting teaching career where she has remained. Her specialist subjects are too numerous to mention but many of her students have been in the top three at the Sterex National Competitions over the past few years. Linda had achieved extensive teaching qualifications including her Assessors and Internal Verification Awards.
Sarah - Tutor / Support Lecturer / Support Assessor
Has been working in the beauty industry for over 15 years gaining valuable knowledge of customer services and retail therapy in all kinds of commercial salons.
She supports both theory and practical sessions in both NVQ Level 2 and Level 3.
Julie - Lecturer / Assessor / Internal Verifier
Julie has a strong background in business and marketing which makes her vital to anyone wishing to start up their own business. She has enjoyed emence practical knowledge of holistic studies and has been teaching in this area for ten years at a southern leading college.
Amy - Support /Administration / Reception
Amy is the yonger member of the team who is very passionate about her career in beauty therapy. She enjoys all aspects of the filed particularly meeting and greeting with different people. Her role here is particular supportive of all the team members making sure that everything is ordered and on hand.
